Gee's Cakes started because I needed something that was actually mine. They say the way to people's hearts is through their belly. After 17 years in tech, I finally decided to test that theory.
Hi, I’m Graeme. I spent 17 years in tech - SaaS, web development, ecommerce. Apparently I was good at it.
But somewhere along the way, it stopped making sense. And then came the moment that really settled it for me.
I was approached, persuaded, and pulled into a new opportunity - the kind you’re told is too good to ignore.
Three months later, it was gone.
It shattered the illusion of job security.
So I built the website, got in the kitchen and started baking.
Not as therapy. Not as a side hustle. As the thing I actually wanted to do - something physical, something real, something where you know immediately whether it’s good or not.
No ambiguity. It either works, or it doesn’t.
Gee’s Cakes is based in Edinburgh. Everything is handmade, made to order, and made properly. Real ingredients. Proper chocolate. Biscuit bases you can actually taste.
